Dear Community Stakeholder,

First I would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about Las Damas de Belmont-Cragin.

Las Damas de Belmont-Cragin are a group of women who live or work in the area.  We have families and care about making this neighborhood a strong community. We own businesses and volunteer time to educate young women by helping them make career plans. We are active in the community, securing park renovations or winning grants for projects in our area – like repaving Dickens Avenue between Cicero and Laramie.  Our most recent neighborhood activism worked to ensure everyone was counted in the United States Census by going out into the community and physically filling out forms with the families while wearing face shields.

Sonia, a member of Las Damas, has been fostering relationships and serving in the community for the last 12 years as a volunteer at the local public school. Early in November, Sonia’s son Carlos tested positive for COVID-19, and soon after Sonia and her son Raul caught the virus.  With the family in quarantine, resources are low but the bills are highYou can help Sonia and families like hers now. By giving to Las Damas de Belmont-Cragin you ensure we can support women and ideas that will move this community forward.

On Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity happening December 1, 2020, please donate to Las Damas de Belmont-Cragin. Join us as we rally our community for #GivingTuesday. Let’s give back to Sonia and women like her by showing our compassion: visit lasdamasbc.org to make a generous donation.

Support our work today and secure projects for tomorrow. Give today at lasdamasbc.org.

Thank you for being a friend and neighbor to Las Damas.  We hope to bring you good news in 2021 and update you with how your donation helped this community grow.
